Nearly half of Gen Z employees face emotional stress and retention challenges due to rising generational tensions at work. A Kahoot study found that 40% of younger professionals considered quitting within their first year, specifically due to intergenerational divides and perceived judgements regarding their communication styles. Additionally, 30% of Gen Z employees didn’t receive praise or feedback during their most recent work week. Despite these hurdles, younger workers actively bridged the gap through reverse mentoring, with 57% reporting they taught managers how to complete various digital tasks. These findings suggested that structured onboarding and consistent recognition remained essential for fostering a sense of belonging across different age groups. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #WorkplaceCulture #GenZatWork 📷: Canva Pro, Shutterstock

The transition from building AI to governing it is the top priority for Fortune 500 hiring managers. A study by Draup showed demand for AI oversight and model risk expertise surged by 81% year-over-year, as organizations moved past the experimental phase. This shift toward operational execution also drove a 77.6% increase in job roles centered on cost optimization and margin protection to ensure measurable returns on AI investments. Reports also indicated AI skill requirements rapidly spread into non-technical departments, like customer support and sales, at rates surpassing 23%. These findings reflect a broader redesign where organizations increasingly favor individual contributors capable of managing AI tools at scale. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #AIWorkforce #EnterpriseTech 📷: Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Staffing levels are the primary barrier to delivering exceptional customer service, surpassing lack of training and poor tools. In a Gallup survey, 37% of workers identified small team sizes as their greatest hurdle to success. This challenge impacted leadership and management more than individual contributors, creating a visible disconnect between corporate promises and frontline realities. Gallup found that among organizations decreasing workforce totals, 65% of those reductions specifically affected employees who dealt directly with customers. The findings suggested maintaining a robust workforce was essential for preventing employee burnout and ensuring consistent service quality. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #CustomerExperience #WorkChallenges 📷: Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Declining worker engagement hit a 10-year low, signaling critical disconnect between professional development goals and daily job realities. According to Schoox, only 31% of employees felt actively engaged despite a widespread desire for new skills. This gap often stemmed from a lack of dedicated time, causing workers to lose information almost immediately when training competed with their primary work tasks. This analysis suggested organizations should move beyond generic training libraries by using AI to align specific learning modules with individual career trajectories. Addressing these infrastructure barriers allows organizations to transition teams from job hugging toward more productive innovative roles. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #WorkforceTrends #EmployeeEngagement 📷 : Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Connecting those who served with careers. 🇺🇸 At Rose International, we’re honored to support the Wounded Warrior Project, most recently through the “How to use LinkedIn to Your Advantage… and Get Remembered” workshop. This session covered profile essentials, a seven-day action plan and more. During this event, 25 veterans participated in an interactive session about leveraging LinkedIn for career visibility. From storytelling to job search tactics, the engagement was outstanding as we helped these professionals build confidence and translate military experience for the job market. A special shoutout to our very own Tom O’Brien, a proud United States Air Force veteran and @wwp member, whose passion for this community is inspirational. We’re already looking forward to the next session focused on in-depth interview preparation as we continue supporting workforce readiness and contributing to impactful career growth for those who served.

An experience exodus is plaguing the construction industry, as one in five workers approaches retirement. An Associated Builders and Contractors report showed this field needs 349,000 new workers this year to maintain current operations. While this demand dropped from 2025’s 439,000, the sector is preparing for a projected shortage of 456,000 workers by 2027. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #ConstructionIndustry #WorkforceShortage

Incentive workplace programs aimed at boosting productivity often achieve the opposite by crushing employee morale and creativity. A McLean & Co. report found pay-for-performance models triggered a tunnel vision effect where staff members prioritized rewarded tasks and neglected vital collaborative responsibilities, such as teamwork or mentoring. High-stakes financial rewards frequently increase workplace stress and tempt individuals to game the system to meet specific targets. Organizations reported finding more success by balancing monetary bonuses and non-monetary rewards, like professional development and increased autonomy. Shifting toward continuous coaching and team-based incentives helped maintain a healthier social fabric to ensure silent contributors received proper recognition. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #PerformanceManagement #WorkIncentives 📷 : Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Mastering AI is now a professional literacy as fundamental as the basic ability to read or write. DataCamp’s 2026 State of Data & AI Literacy Report found experts viewed AI proficiency as a universal requirement that spanned every department from finance to human resources. This shift emphasizes augmentation, allowing employees to automate repetitive tasks so they can focus their energy on high-level strategy and critical thinking. By prioritizing structured training and ethical guardrails, organizations ensure their teams effectively identify AI bias and provide necessary human oversight. Developing these capabilities helps future-proof careers, while addressing a growing gap between the demand for AI-savvy talent and the current supply of skilled workers. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #AI #JobSkills 📷 : Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Reassessing the role of office chatter revealed that workplace gossip often acts as a vital social glue that strengthens team cohesion and rapport. Research from Rutgers University, Utah State University and Southern Methodist University showed these informal conversations helped employees navigate complex workplace politics and reinforced collective norms by highlighting shared values. This informal network, often referred to as the grapevine, also served as an essential warning system to protect colleagues from unethical behavior or difficult personalities. By monitoring the flow of talk, leaders could use these interactions as a diagnostic tool to identify transparency gaps or rising anxiety levels within staff. Distinguishing between social gossip and malicious rumors allows organizations to maintain a more connected and informed workforce. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #WorkGossip #TeamBuilding 📷 : Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Employers are navigating a shifting job market as the era high turnover transitioned into the “Great Stay.” Appcast’s Recruitment Marketing Benchmark Report found hiring team workloads increased for white-collar jobs, as application rates for tech roles reached 7.14% in 2025. While remote positions lost their competitive edge, the findings showed frontline roles remained the most difficult to fill. Success depended on a holistic strategy that combined searching traditional job boards and social media to reach both active and passive job candidates. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen

St. Patrick’s Day began as a cultural observance tied to Ireland’s history. Over time, the celebration expanded beyond Ireland, especially in the United States, where Irish immigrant communities shaped it into the vibrant parades and public festivities we recognize today. While the holiday has historic roots, it evolved into a global celebration of Irish heritage, culture and tradition. It is a reminder of how communities carry history forward while adapting it for new generations. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #StPatricksDay #Holiday 📷 : Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Each year around St. Patrick’s Day, Chicago transforms its river into a bright emerald green as part of one of the city’s most recognizable traditions. The tradition began in 1962 when city plumbers used green dye to trace pollution leaks in the river. After noticing how vibrant the color looked, they proposed turning the river green to celebrate the holiday. Members of the Chicago Plumbers Union carry out this tradition today using a special environmentally safe dye. What started as a practical plumbing tool, became an iconic symbol of Chicago’s celebration of Irish heritage. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #Chicago #StPatricksDay 📷 : Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Burger King made its first major update to the Whopper in nearly a decade. The classic burger still features its flame-grilled beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, ketchup and mayo, but several upgrades aim to improve the overall experience. The new version includes a softer, higher-quality bun, creamier mayonnaise and new box packaging designed to keep the burger from getting crushed during transport. The goal is to elevate the iconic sandwich while keeping the familiar taste fans expect. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #Whopper #BurgerKing 📷 : Canva Pro, Shutterstock

Unlocking AI’s full economic potential depends more on human skills than the technology itself, according to a recent Pearson report. The study suggested augmenting jobs with AI and properly upskilling employees could add up to $6.6 trillion to the U.S. economy by 2034. While technology deployment moves fast, Pearson highlighted that a lack of human development is the primary reason many organizations still miss out on significant productivity gains. #RoseInt #PeopleMakingItHappen #WorkforceDevelopment #AIgains
