週末のスポーツランドSUGOさんのデモラン、Mazda767Bのご紹介で、「2015英国グッドウッドのクラッシュからの奇跡の復活」とご説明いただいておりますが、2017年のWTACの参加が決まって、2017年春から急ピッチで作業、シッピング前の富士スピードウェイテスト走行の前日は徹夜でした。 良い思い出です。

その後、Mazda767Bのモデルカーを渡されて、「このデザインでお願いします」とラッピング屋さんに無茶なお願いをして、無事に完成。 エピソード盛り沢山な車両です。

We’re thrilled to announce we’ll be running 3 classic Mazda race cars in the Historic @IMSA GTP races during the #LongBeach Grand Prix, April 8-10. One of those cars will be the 1989 Mazda 767B. Stay tuned to find out which other cars will race, & who will be behind the wheel.

The 1989 Mazda 767B, wearing the famous ‘Charge’ argyle livery, finished ninth overall & second in class at the 1989 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by Takashi Yorino, Herve Regout, & Elliot Forbes-Robinson. We can’t wait to share this iconic Mazda race car with fans at #LongBeach.

The second of two 787s built, the 1990 Mazda 787B, set to race this week at #LongBeach, was first raced at Le Mans in 1990. It’s career continued in 1991 when it was raced in the World Championship and at Le Mans, finishing a commendable 8th overall. #MazdaMotorsports #IMSA
