Board Trustees recognized participants in the Leaders of Innovative Teaching (LIT) Academy during this evening's meeting. They honored educators who completed the program and demonstrated leadership in innovative instruction and meaningful technology integration across campuses.

April 4 is National School Librarian Day! Tonight, SCUC Trustees celebrated the educators who inspire a love of reading, teach research and digital literacy, and support students and teachers every day. Thank you for making a difference.

The Board of Trustees recognized assistant principals across the district during Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, honoring their dedication, leadership, and daily support of students, staff, and campuses. Trustees thanked them for the vital role they play in school success.

Cesar Rios (@Steele78108) and Sierra Prince (@scclbuffs) served as student representatives at tonight’s Board of Trustees meeting, representing their AFJROTC units. Both seniors were joined by their commanders and assistant principals.

We proudly recognize @Steele78108 Band students for UIL TSSEC State success—highlighted by Caden Grimes’ State Solo Gold Medal and Carter Jackson’s selection to the TMEA All-State Band. Outstanding musicianship!

The Board proudly recognized the remarkable achievements of @scclbuffs musicians who qualified for the UIL TSSEC State Solo and Ensemble Contest at tonight's meeting. The Directors are Matt Boenning, Zack Serrato and Rob Wheeler.

Nine students from the @Steele78108 Theatre Department earned qualification to the Texas Thespian National Competition. The program is led by Directors Charici Ahrens and Katie Adams - and the Board of Trustees congratulated the theatre program this evening.

Orchestra state qualifiers from @steele78108 were also honored for their outstanding achievement at the UIL TSSEC State Solo and Ensemble Contest. We congratulate the students, under the direction of Andrew Sutton, on this impressive achievement and excellence.

Trustees proudly recognized the achievements of @scclbuffs musicians who qualified for the UIL TSSEC State Solo and Ensemble Contest. Their accomplishments include state qualifications in both solo and ensemble performances. Jennifer Tudyk serves as the Orchestra Director.

Eight students from the @Steele78108 Visual Arts Scholastic Event (V.A.S.E.) program are headed to state for their pieces - and were introduced at tonight's school board meeting. They are guided by teachers Brady Russell and Theresa Vargas.

The Visual Arts Scholastic Event (V.A.S.E.) state qualifers from @scclbuffs were recognized by SCUC Board Trustees tonight. 16 students will compete in the state competition - an all-time record for the campus! The program is under the direction of Amanda Aguilar & Glenda Harper.

Keller, a graduate of Samuel Clemens High School, holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas State University, as well as a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Trinity University.

The Board of Trustees approved the recommendations of Jennifer Keller as new principal at Jordan Intermediate School at the school board meeting held on April 16, 2026. Ms. Keller has been serving as interim principal since October. Her family was on hand for the announcement.
