Hi @BillAckman, just as Board Directors of @axelspringer are responsible for @BusinessInsider’s actions, you as a Board Member are morally responsible for @UMG’s actions. Please use your influence to stop the lawsuit against the @internetarchive . @brewster_kahle & his team already removed everything @UMG asked for in the lawsuit, after offering to do so before the lawsuit, as even the filing by @umg’s lawyers acknowledge. Please have your company cease this attack on one of the most important cultural institutions that could erase the historical record, which even your lawyers and forthcoming lawsuit are relying upon

Bill, @UMG is suing the @internetarchive for $420 million for streaming 78 rpm recordings, threatening the fantastic resource you and millions of others rely upon to prevent history from being rewritten. Would you and @PershingSquare please use your ownership influence to get @UMG to drop the lawsuit? @brewster_kahle has already complied with their demands (valid or not) to remove the requested songs, as he had previously offered to do in writing with no reply until the lawsuit was served. The only people appearing to benefit now are the lawyers racking up exorbitant fees to the detriment of everyone else 🤷🏻‍♂️ @billackman please be a hero and stop the company you have $billions of ownership in from attempting to destroy this true cultural treasure whose archive of @mit's web page is helping you in your dispute🙏🏻
