It was a pleasure to welcome SDLP leader and MP for South Belfast, Claire Hanna to the Abbey today for a special session of Mr Evans’s Year 13 Politics class. Politics students from our partner schools – Sacred Heart Grammar School, Newry and Our Lady's Grammar School were also in attendance. Claire had a Q and A session with the students, covering a diverse range of topics. An excellent morning was had by students and Claire alike. ⚽️History has been made⚽️ Abbey CBS are through to the NIFSA Shield Final after beating Grosvenor Grammar at the Blue bell stadium, 2-0, with goals from ⭐️James Duffy and ⭐️Adam McCann Gibbs 👏👏 It was very difficult to pick a ‘man of the match’ today, but Joe McGovern was outstanding both in midfield and as centre half. 👏👏 What an experience for this group of boys! Fantastic ambassadors for the Abbey. 🔴⚫️🟡

Today @Abbey_CBS community said good bye to one of our own, but we only borrowed him from his beloved Trillick. @TrillickGAC A magnificent send off. A decent man, a Trillick man. 💔🖤💛

Today I secured an update on the timeline and costings for the essential and overdue A1 upgrade. The Minister has committed to a start date of Feb 26 with a 3 year project timeline. I will continue to seek assurance and updates to prevent further delay.
