@S_Carnot Our understanding is that these were sourced in response to covid-19. As the ship was due to call at ascension, made sense to pick them up. But we could be wrong, we're not part of the decision making or on St Helena ATM.

@SaintCooks These supplies were shipped from the U.K. to Ascension Island. The MV Helena is delivering those supplies to St Helena. My impression is most cargo - destined for St Helena - comes through South Africa. Is that because logistics favor South Africa over Ascension Island?

Today's "Bitta good news from Saint Cooks" Yesterday evening the MV Helena arrived back in St Helena with a quarter ton of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and other supplies, to help in the Island's response to COVID-19. This is a great bitta good news for everyone on Island.
