Congratulations to @ViralShahMDPhD for receiving the @the_asci Emerging-Generation Award! This award recognizes pre-faculty appointment physician-scientists who are meaningfully engaged in immersive research. Dr. Shah studies the role of airway epithelia in health and disease.

Our faculty's research spans bench to bedside. Today at research conference, Dr. George Alba talked about the role of NEDD9 in pulmonary vascular dysfunction in mouse & patient human studies, and Dr. James Moon discussed T cell responses & autoimmunity after lung injury in mice.

We were honored to have Dr. Tomeka Suber from @PACCSM visit us for Research Conference today! Dr. Suber shared her work using both animal models and bedside human clinical studies to study the mechanisms underlying host resilience in acute lung injury.

After 9 years, I have decided to step down as Program Director for the @MGHMedicine Residency. I am so grateful for the privilege to serve our residents and give back to a program that gave me so much. The faculty, admin team & residents are simply amazing. Team-we did good! ❤️
