Appears the model crew drew the outline for the circus banners on the side of the trucks before applying them. As seen here the banner for this LNER van was shorter than the outline

@RailsRed I wish I'd been able to handle it better but at that point I was just completely and utterly done. I don't think at the time I considered how vital some people considered that content to be. To me it was just a hobby thats as easily ended as started.

@RailsRed It got to the point where not much set me off and ended up with childish responses like that. Looking back I wish I'd closed it all a year previously because maybe then I could have handled it better and would have been in the frame of mind to leave the site up as it was then.

@trainzlore @MH1994_ @2ndPlush @Andre_85_J94 To call things like that cancelled or unfinished Si3D projects does for the most part, suggest far more planning ahead then actually went on. we weren't a company with a development roadmap, we were just friends making stuff. Some of the better stuff ended up on the website.

Things were made for fun and if they ended up on the site then that's when they became SI3D things. Until then they were just personal things made on whims.

@SkarloeyBoi If anything that's on the cheap side of things for larger scale modeling commissions. Bearing in mind these invariably always come with bespoke last minute requests that add time and that's the crux, it's how the artist values their own time.

Remember, It's perfectly fine if you can't afford an artist's work, but saying it's "too expensive" comes off as whiny and entitled. Frankly I could charge even more for these with the level of detail & quality they have when you look around at other mass produced model trains.

@Ps2playerLuke For me it was season 6 but of course it's different for everyone. I imagine there's some for whom it's still very much alive. I guess the only day it objectively dies is when it's no longer an active brand.

Here's A Fact: The Fat Controller 2009 Model Was Modelled And Textured By @thewholeboy And Exported To Trainz By @SeansModels But I Don't Know If That's True Or Not, What Do You Think?

@DarthArzenal @thewholeboy Pretty sure I don't either. I never went out of my way to keep source files that had been replaced by something else. I don't think we ever looked at the various standards as styles, just as steps closer to show accuracy. I never got that people look at them like art styles.

This marked the transition from GMax to 3DS Max and the ability to unwrap and "bake" textures. It was a big step for us.

@thewholeboy I remember those conversations back on Gtalk all to well. You taught me the baking process then between the 2 of us we refined it as best we could. You changed the game with that dude, was fun times doing that with ya. Forever my mentor!
