Talleres fell to Belgrano earlier on. Right now Boca are looking to advance in the Clausura playoffs as they take on Huracán. They’ve got their work cut out as they are a goal down already. It’s a mistake that sees them concede 4 minutes in

Red cards galore. Eric Ramírez is the first to pick up a straight red following a poor tackle and then Fabio Pereyra gets himself a second yellow after he speaks his mind to the referee, and he’s sent off too. Boca will play the rest of this vs 9 men!

Boca Juniors have a mountain to climb. 2 penalties conceded in extra time and they are 3-1 down. They started off in the worst possible way after Di Lollo gave away a penalty, and he then gives another one away. It’s unlike him, can he come up with something and redeem himself?

Wrapped finishes aren’t in Diomande’s nature. He quite literally demonstrates an avoidance, perhaps not consciously, but it’s not in his instinct to be a finisher with such techniques. As a scouting cue for wingers, that raises eyebrows. Obvs isn’t worth the valuation.

@perdidoemmiami Varied is the perfect word, I would agree with that. Record wise Abel has done a lot but it’s fair to say others probably would too with your quality. He might be the coach you hire to get you to this point and afterwards you hire someone to take it to the next step

@SethMUFC also not even about our plays being entertaining to watch, but varied. it's been the same for years, and it gives me the impression that abel has hit a wall when it comes to tactical prowess.

Palmeiras host Cerro Porteño next up. With a defensive display like that, they might just fancy getting a result. Sporting Cristal will have a say, if they can beat Junior in a couple of weeks they could move back in to 2nd play. It’s an interesting #Libertadores group.

There’s the full time whistle. Cerro Porteño pick up a huge three points away in Colombia. Junior didn’t offer enough, despite an improvement in the second half. Bacca had a chance but was offside so it was a redundant opportunity. The Paraguayans move in to 2nd #Libertadores

@perdidoemmiami I thought you would have a repeat of last year or at least be on 12 points and qualified. Cerro can defend well for sure but it is weird to see Palmeiras in this position

@SethMUFC well i can no longer tell. i thought we'd win all 6 games comfortably but we ended up in a rather unpleasing situation. still i wanna be optimistic so i'll say we'll win against cerro.

@perdidoemmiami I know some fans don’t like Abel’s style and I understand but the squad has good players to win most of the time but they have been wasteful sometimes or unlucky

There were a few surprises this week. Always Ready deserve some praise for their thrashing of Lanús, they looked so much better. Mirassol are having a fabulous debut season, as are Platense 8 Rivadavia.
The #Libertadores returns in 2 weeks with the final two rounds.
