CMI has invited representatives of major southern groups from #Yemen to Helsinki to discuss governance and autonomy. Director @SiaAkermark from Åland Islands Peace Institute noted at the workshop that in the core of autonomy lies issues such as culture, economy and security.

Good open discussions. Inclusive processes can go hand in hand with substantive matters. Commiment in process & substance seems a good way forward.

Excited to take on as FIIA's Research Director from next week.

Very happy to finally share this: today I begin my second week at @fredsinstitutet as Peace Fellow. For two months, I will exchange views with the researchers of the institute and continue with my doctoral research. Åland 🇦🇽 is a wonderful place and I am thrilled to be here.
