During today's @FriendsSlowLake community celebration, a Slow Streets opponent verbally assaulted a woman and threatened to kill parents and children with his car twice. This is the type of person who's opposed to #SlowStreets and the way that opponents behave towards neighbors.

@dalmatianlover @jeffreytumlin I lived on California street. It's always been congested turning onto Park Presidio. We're pretty much back at pre-pandemic level. Also bc California turned to one lane east side. Nothing to do with slow street on Lake.

@jeffreytumlin Wow. Head down California Street sometime next to Lake. Lots of traffic. The Avenues can be a parking lot due to congestion. And my 17th Ave in the Sunset is like the Autobahn.……

@jeffreytumlin Thanks for bringing slow street to Lake. We love it! Instead of running short distance errands in my car, we hop on a bike now to get to Clement. My middle school kid bikes to school with her friends using Lake instead of being dropped off in a car.
