@distribute_sol Perhaps if Distribute promoted the projects that were successful rather than those clearly farming you wouldn’t need to resort to such changes.

DISTRIBUTE was founded with good intentions and we created the reward token meta as a way to bring something new to Solana - however at this current stage, due to competitors abusing the system allowing the creations of hundreds of rugs a day, allowing sniping purposefully and doing shady things to farm users, this meta has become completely unsuitable. The fact that competitors take in 5-10% trading fees and millions of dollars a month through purposefully allowing rugs, sniping and promoting rugs just does not sit well with me, especially being the creator of the reward tokens. I don't want my creation to be known as that. There is no reason you should be making someone a multi millionaire when they put zero meaningful effort into the ecosystem who started by copying others. As such, we have some announcements to make: We'll be making the reward tokens, jackpot tokens, and custom tokens open source. As well as other custom token types that I might be releasing in the future. I am going to create a one button terminal that creates your token for you, your distributor and your distributor address for you. It will have all features DISTRIBUTE has including the telegram bot. There will be an optional 1% buyback fee for DISTRIBUTE tokens which will be burned, I think most creators will be OK paying this and it will add up substantially overtime driving the price up. Considering other platforms take 5-10% as well as SOL to create. This leaves the token in your control, without any lock, which is how crypto is supposed to be like. Currently everything is extremely centralised, to be honest this is not a good solution since launchpads have an extreme amount of power, I mean we could technically rugpull all the tokens if we wanted to. This is not how crypto is intended to be done, and I think this is why DISTRIBUTE did not get any attention from important people in Solana such as Toly, etc. Because it's obvious how centralised it is. What about the DISTRIBUTE platform? I'd like to create some more custom tokens that are not easily replicated. I have some ideas in regards to gaming tokens, and others I want to pursue. Basically I want to be an innovator and keep bringing good things to the space. How will you maintain the open source code? I will be maintaining the open source code and giving people the ability to create their tokens via a command prompt. This means other developers can help contribute which in return will mean that updates will be more often, and things will be more innovative. What about NFT? The buyback will still reward NFT holders due to the tax collected. DISTRIBUTE going down this path both brings down centralisation which is a big issue in the space, solves scam launchpads capitalising on our success, and it gives the DISTRIBUTE coin a chance to thrive long term whilst permanently eliminating competition in the future as well as strengthening our image whilst simultaneously bringing in new users. #distribute
