🚧 Roadwork Notice: W. Judge Perez Drive (LA 39) 🚧 DTD will be conducting roadwork on W. Judge Perez Drive between Norton Ave & Jean Lafitte each night from 7PM – 6AM starting Mon, March 16 – Sat, March 21. There will be alternating single lane closures in both directions.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE The Louisiana DOTD will be conducting overnight lane closures on LA 39 (W Judge Perez Dr) between Norton Ave & Jean Lafitte. When: March 2-March 6 - 7PM – 6AM Alternating single-lane closures in both directions for concrete sawcutting operations

St. Bernard Parish Government secured a $300,000 grant to remove water hyacinth from the 40 Arpent Canal. At the same time, Parish crews are using a long-reach excavator to clear overgrowth & remove sediment buildup along the canal banks. #drainageimprovement #FloodProtection

Residents in the affected area should boil tap water for 1 minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or washing dishes. Bottled water may be used. The advisory will remain in effect until water samples are confirmed safe. Updates will be shared when available.

Due to emergency repair work, a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been issued for the following streets in Poydras: • East St. Bernard Highway (riverside only) from Theresa St to Green Ave. • Goodwill Dr • Saro Lane from Goodwill Dr to Massicot Rd

Parish officials attended a briefing with the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 regarding the upcoming winter weather. Freezing rain is not expected; however, below-freezing temperatures are anticipated.

Sample results for repair work done on East St. Bernard Hwy (Violet area) have returned absent for Total Coliform and absent for E. Coli. The Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been cancelled.
