Gisteren een BBQ. Best veel mensen, van alles wat, ook genoeg mensen aan de rechterkant. Maar niemand had het over Wierd Duk. Geen woord. Geen zucht. Geen verontwaardigde discussie bij de satésaus. Dus ik vroeg op een gegeven moment: kennen jullie Wierd Duk? Iedereen keek verbaasd. Nee, niet bekend bij ons. Dus zei ik: nou, op X is hij nogal populair. Toen barstte iedereen in lachen uit. X, zei iemand, dat kleine dorpse netwerkje waar iedereen denkt dat hij namens Nederland spreekt omdat dezelfde twintig accounts elkaar de hele dag gelijk geven. Waarop iemand zei: “Ja, in Madurodam heb je ook files.” En daar lag eigenlijk meteen de hele samenvatting op tafel: op X lijkt iemand een volksbeweging, daarbuiten is het gewoon een naam die niemand bij de barbecue kent.

Hij bevestigt dat deze massale coördinatie volkomen onnatuurlijk is. Waarom domineert een kleine uitbraak plotseling de wereldwijde media?

You guys are really concerned about Hantavirus, a very inefficiently transferred virus that impacts less than 100 people per year. But you're not concerned about Bird Flu, which is highly contagious and has already impacted millions of birds and mammals, and is positioned to jump to humans. Or COVID, which killed millions. The cognitive dissonance is breath taking...

@IanCopeland5 Covid and the bird flu dont have a mortality rate of 40% and we have zero data that proves the transmission rate in a populated area considering the largest outbreak was in a rural Argentinian village. Say you're uneducated on the subject matter without saying it....

The number of confirmed hantavirus cases associated to the MV Hondius cruise ship has risen to 12 as of this morning. It is extremely disheartening that everyone is saying not to worry when we all have severe ptsd from covid. I cannot stand the gaslighting.
