What few seem to be talking about in the media over the Scarva masked gang is: If what experts call a genocide against Palestinians had just been committed against the Israelis, and protestors chanted, 'stick your Is-ra-el up your hole', the framing would be entirely different.

I’ve seen Maguire’s statement and the tweet from his wife, is there something else i’m missing which is provoking the outrage? It would be extremely strange if he didn’t feel like that and his wife is obviously disappointed for her husband, I don’t get what was so wrong about what they said? It’s the last World Cup the guy will ever be in a shout with playing in, of course he’s upset at missing out. We’re all grown men here, right? He hasn’t exactly ended the Country’s World Cup hopes lol.

The 1998 Belfast Agreement is explicitly clear on the terms for a referendum. The Northern Ireland Secretary of State has the power to call a referendum only if: ‘……it appears likely to him that a majority of those voting would express a wish that Northern Ireland should cease to become part of the United Kingdom’. (Constitutional Issues, Annex A, Schedule 1, Paragraph 2) There is no credible evidence to suggest that a majority of people in Northern Ireland are in favour of it leaving the United Kingdom, so the media must not allow Sinn Fein to propagate a myth that the UK Govt is obligated to convene a referendum just because Sinn Fein want one. The vast majority of people in Northern Ireland want it to be successful and remain within the United Kingdom. Recent polls also show people living in the Republic of Ireland do not view Irish Unity as a priority issue either. Facts matter.

@ObvsBrandonWest @JeremyTate41 I wondered that too. Kind of weird, making a crucifix something you can go inside, but I assume the views from it are interesting.

The world's tallest church is about to get its crown. On June 10, 2026, exactly 100 years after Antoni Gaudí's death, the Sagrada Família will inaugurate the four-armed cross atop the Tower of Jesus Christ.

Nothing pisses me off more than going into a hotel IN IRELAND asking to watch the Leinster semi-final and being told, oh sorry but we’re showing the arsenal match. 🤮

@Nick___Collins They do plenty for the city. They create jobs both directly and indirectly, do a hell of a lot of work for various charities in the city including supporting the foodbanks, and give everyone a good laugh by being shite most of the time.

I don’t get it. They rebranded from “the people’s club” but rebranded after some issues to “we built this city” which is just cringe. They’ve done fuck all for the city, go around the world and ask who they are and people don’t know. One club put the city on the map, along with the beetles, which Everton have again weirdly taken ownership of, despite them being Liverpool fans or not into footy 😂

Felix Healy did the 'unforgivable' thing of making the sign of the cross during an Ireland match & was never selected to play for his country again. Derry City
