Why is it so hard for people, especially some wellness influencers, to admit this simple truth…. You can do everything right. You can eat the kale, take the supplements, walk 10k steps a day, lift the weights, meditate, sleep 8 hours, avoid sugar, avoid seed oils, avoid whatever gives you joy in the name of wellness, anddddd you can still get sick. That doesn’t mean lifestyle doesn’t matter. It does. Immensely. But it also doesn’t mean you’re to blame when things go wrong. Health is not a merit badge. And illness is not a personal failure. You’re allowed to try your best and still need help. That’s not weakness. That’s being human and acknowledging our realities.

An overwhelm day today. Too much on my plate and the tears start flowing again. That didn't change. The way I handle days like this did. So I had a good cry, a nice shower and a cool drink and I'm feeling a bit better. <3
