Last weekend, my layout 'Sandy Shores' appeared at Narrow Gauge South. Very unexpectedly, it won 'Best in Show', an amazing feat given the exquisite modelling on display. @PECOstreamline I should note that the stock seen in the photos is predominantly visiting stock by a lovely chap called Peter who stopped by to test them, and stayed to operate the layout. I've definitely got to get a balcony/verandah coach for myself now!

@ScaleModelScene So many answers to give here... so here's my top three: 1) Consistency (of modelling/painting/weathering etc) 2) Good lighting (I know, probably not the answer a lot of people would expect!) 3) Having fun!

@ModelRailClub @EMGauge Been there done that I built Ashland with @Hornbymag in a weekend at their Hornby Magazine Hartlepool exhibition in 2011! It's also being further developed by a new owner which is good to see.

Told you I'd be doing something for myself over Christmas - a photoshoot of my own layout 'Sandy Shores'! Complete with delicious homemade mince pies, and half-hearted festive attire (Sorry, I don't have a garish Christmas jumper). As you can see, space is tight in my bedroom!

@GrahamMuz I've just remembered that even my glasses are blue!🤣 Honest, green is my favourite colour, and I genuinely don't like navy blue especially... that's what makes my bedroom so hilarious to me
