☘️🚍 Swords Express Service Update – St. Patrick’s Day 2026 🚍☘️ Dear Passengers, Due to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, there will be road closures affecting our routes. Please take note of the following changes: 🔹 Swords Main Street will be closed from 09:00 to 14:00. 🔹 Alternative Route for Swords Express (09:00 – 14:00): Brackenstown Road, St. Cronan’s Avenue, Ardcian Park, Applewood, Balheary Road, R125, R132. Malahide Road at Pavilions: Set down at DB Stop 6054, pick up at DB Stop 6117. Back onto R132 heading south, right into Borimhe (L2300), then Rathingle Road. At the roundabout, return to Borimhe and proceed via Port Tunnel to Georges Quay as normal. 🔹 Alternative Route for City Centre (09:00 – 17:00): North Wall Quay → Talbot Memorial Bridge → Georges Quay (set down & pick up). ❌ No access to Eden Quay from 09:00 to 17:00. 📅 Sunday Schedule in Operation on March 17th. Dear passengers, Due to the Run in the Night event taking place tomorrow 18/02 in the evening, please note the following updates to our services: 🕖 From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the bus will operate exclusively on these routes. 🚌 The only pick-up and drop-off point will be Eden Quay. Service Update Due to the unexpected closure of the Dublin Tunnel this morning, there are delays affecting all Swords Express services. @SwordsExpress, hi guys! Any chance of any of your buses running from Swords to the City Centre today? Been sitting out here for forty minutes, past two scheduled departure times, multiple buses heading the opposite direction, none turning back at terminus.

Last 2 weeks we experienced exceptionally heavy traffic around the Pavilions Shopping Centre area in Swords, which caused significant delays to our services. Passenger travel patterns during this period were also unusually high and spread across different times of the day. As a result, several buses reached full capacity, leading to understandable frustration among customers. The busiest time was between 12:00 and 14:00, during which some services were delayed by up to 45 minutes and many buses were already full upon arrival. We expect these disruptions to ease now that the Christmas period has passed, and services should return to normal levels shortly.
