There are a few benefits! Saunas don't produce pollution (unlike outhouses/toilets) and have a higher occupant capacity, which prevents colonists from wasting time going to an occupied building for nothing. They also remove some of the colonists' radiation build-up. 🧖

Due to the way Surviving Mars maps are generated, the region itself is not a 1-for-1 replica of the real Olympus Mons - but you can still make out a rough approximation of the steep changes in elevation at the volcano's edges.

🚀 Did you know that Mars' iconic peak, Olympus Mons, is secretly in the game? It's not immediately marked on the the planetary map, so you'll need to navigate to the volcano's approximate coordinates yourself to find it: 18°39′N 226°12′E, or roughly 18°N 134°W.
