@TStatist It’s grilling hot dogs on the back porch. It’s setting off fireworks at night with your friends. It’s fighter jets flying over a football field. It’s the glory of nature from the redwoods of CA to the outer banks of NC. To have pride in your nation is not a sin.

I agree with every sentence but the last one. My love for my country is not null and void just because I have disdain for my government. So I will wave my flag. I’m proud to display the Stars & Stripes. And if you aren’t, I suggest you leave. Go literally anywhere else but here.

@DanielHampton_3 I have no problem with individuals. I consistently advocate for the rights of all individuals. But no national flag symbolizes individuals or freedom. It symbolizes the oppression of the government that claims to possess the “right to rule” that geographical area.

Whatever level of actual freedom and prosperity you enjoy in life is IN SPITE of government, not due to it. Think of how much freer & prosperous you & your neighbors would be if it weren’t for government. You’re robbed blind daily on multiple levels. Have fun waving your flag.

The Declaration of Independence was the closest humanity ever got to freedom, only to backslide into an even worse authoritarian subjugation. The semi-quintessential is nothing to celebrate. It’s a somber memorial of the freedom you could have had that slowly died 250 years ago.

Tis better to be fooled only one day a year than to be a statist fool all year long, year after year after year after year after year. You don’t have to be a fool anymore. There are things called logic and consistent moral principles and #voluntaryism.

Life is too short to spend one more second believing that you don’t own yourself, believing that subjugation is freedom, believing that the cult of “government” and “law” overrides your own conscience and autonomy. No one possesses the right to rule you. Stop believing the lies.

Minarchists and communists have more in common than they would ever admit. Both have the same flawed logic that makes them confident that their desired statist utopia can work, despite the fact that it never has and never will. Freedom is always legitimate. Government never is.

All government is inherently illegitimate so it matters not what government says is “illegal”. If you’re even half assed consistent with your personal moral principles, at some point you’ll necessarily be an outlaw in the state’s eyes. Thus “legality” is insignificant garbage.

At your job if anyone takes anything you say as a slight against their “protected characteristics” you could lose your job based on common workplace harassment policies. Meanwhile, government actually harasses, robs, coerces & violates the same “protected characteristics” daily.

Attention young people! Government has never been legitimate. The same government that once slaughtered the native Americans and allowed chattel slavery now enforces a kinder, gentler slavery on you… and you were brainwashed to believe that this was freedom. It’s not.

Attention young people! Government has never been legitimate. It isn’t legitimate now, nor can it ever be. Its foundation is aggression, theft, imposition under threat of violence & the violation of individual consent. All of which are illegitimate acts. Freedom is legitimate.
