Does anyone really think that Sunak believes in National Service? This is more Tory lies. He is following focus groups instead of being a leader. A diminished armed forces could not carry it out & many that he’s allowed into our country would refuse to do it in the first place.

We'll introduce a bold new model of National Service. To up-skill the next generation, make our nation secure & build a stronger national culture.  Whether in the Armed Forces or volunteering in our NHS, every young person will do their duty to build a secure future for the UK.

@davesumnersmith @Keir_Starmer It's a false analogy. 16 and 17 year olds may serve in the armed forces. But they are not allowed to go into conflict (or a war zone) without their parent's permission. The only reason multimillionaire Sir Keir wants this is for votes. It's vote rigging at it's worse.
