A woman from Cameroon who came to Canada to work on a farm said at a press conference in Montreal: "I lived two years under slavery. An animal had more value than me." The United Nations investigated. Amnesty International investigated. Both reached the same conclusion: This isn't the case of a few bad employers. The system was designed this way. On March 26, 2026, Bill C-15 received Royal Assent. This law creates Canada’s first national regulatory framework for stablecoins — a digital version of the Canadian dollar that lives on a blockchain. Days later, Deloitte and Stablecorp announced QCAD — Canada’s first official digital Canadian dollar. The Bank of Canada will regulate it. They decide who can issue it. They set the rules. Crypto people know the #1 rule: “Not your keys, not your crypto.” Translation for everyone else: If someone else holds the passwords to your digital money — it’s not actually YOUR money. With a stablecoin, every single transaction you make is recorded on a blockchain. Every dollar you send, and every dollar you receive is permanently traceable. By design. The issuer can “mint” new tokens (create money) or “burn” tokens (destroy money) at will. This is not conspiracy — this is literally how stablecoins work. It’s in their own prospectus filing.

Here’s what most Canadians don’t know: Canada is a member of the International Monetary Fund. The IMF’s Articles of Agreement — which Canada signed — include Article IV, Section 2. It says member nations can adopt: “other exchange arrangements of a member’s choice.” That’s an open door. Countries have already walked through it — Ecuador replaced its national currency with the US dollar under this exact framework. The IMF’s own legal scholars have confirmed: sovereign nations have “the unfettered right to grant legal tender status” to new instruments — including digital ones. Canada doesn’t need a constitutional amendment to change its currency. It just needs an Act of Parliament. Bill C-15 may be the beginning.

Coupes de taxes, plafonnement des prix. Concret. Rapide. Dans Montmorency–Charlevoix, on fait partie des régions qui paient déjà le plus cher au Québec. La crise mondiale empire les choses chaque semaine. Les libéraux, eux, attendent leur mise à jour budgétaire du printemps. Et à long terme? Le Canada possède les 4e plus grandes réserves de pétrole prouvées au monde, 163 milliards de barils. On pourrait s'inspirer de la Norvège, qui a développé ses ressources intelligemment et créé un fonds souverain qui vaut aujourd'hui 1 900 milliards de dollars US, soit plus de 340 000 $ par citoyen norvégien. Il n'y a aucune raison qu'un pays aussi riche en ressources que le nôtre soit aussi vulnérable aux crises mondiales du pétrole. Moi, je trouve ça inacceptable. Vous?

C’est ça, la réalité de MAID que les familles craignent. La @OPP_News débarque à Tillsonburg, Ontario avec une ordonnance de la cour. Le fils : « J’ouvre pas la porte. Défoncez-la si vous avez un mandat. C’est en appel. » Le fils est clair : « il va mourir où il veut. Moi, je le trouve lucide pis rationnel. » Le conflit? La sœur veut la ferme. Le père veut rester chez lui. Elle dit qu’il est dément, le fils dit qu’il a toute sa tête. La police est poignée entre les deux. Mais faire exécuter une ordonnance un jeudi soir, la veille du Vendredi saint, sans laisser le temps de répondre — C’est un coup croche. Au final, les policiers repartent parce qu’ils decident de ne pas défoncer la porte. Le fils dit aussi qu’il fait pas confiance ni à la police ni aux tribunaux. Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) requires:    •   explicit patient consent    •   multiple independent medical assessments    •   strict federal safeguards No one gets “taken from their home” and forced into MAID. That’s simply not how the law works in Canada. Second, when police like Ontario Provincial Police show up with a court order, they are not freelancing, they are enforcing a legal decision made by a judge based on evidence. Family disputes over:    •   capacity (dementia vs. competence)    •   property (like a farm)    •   care decisions …are handled through the courts for a reason. Because families disagree and those disagreements can get complicated fast. Third, alleging “dirty pool” ignores due process. If there’s an appeal, that’s handled legally not by refusing a lawful order at the door. And finally, this narrative frames distrust of courts and police as justified. That’s a dangerous place to go. We rely on legal systems precisely to protect vulnerable people when families are in conflict. You can have compassion for the situation without spreading misinformation.

Take a 102-year-old man from his home in Canada and you risk never seeing him alive again. That’s the MAID reality families fear. @OPP_News show up in Tillsonburg with a court order. Son: “Not opening the door. Break it if you have a warrant. It’s under appeal.” The father is clear: he’ll die where he chooses. He sounds clear and rational to me. The dispute? Sister wants the farm. Father wants to stay. She alleges dementia, son says he is clear and rational. Police are caught in the middle. But enforcing a Thursday night order on Good Friday with no time for legal response is dirty pool. In the end the officers leave because they are not going to kick down the door and the son knows it. The son also says he doesn't trust the police or the courts. These days, I don't blame him at all.
