I find it more sad and fucked up that when Nikki (the real her) wakes up from the wish when Bear dies she essentially is left with three bodies and her future is completely destroyed, I find that somehow worse then Nikki taking her own life.

I'm glad he said this because it's MY biggest takeaway from the film. Obsession is ultimately a tragedy where a woman is stripped of her autonomy for the sake of fulfilling a "nice guy's" fantasy.
