Part of the reason the booster economy has faded is because y’all have let people convince you that you’re supporting artists by supporting brands and corporations. But anyone who isn’t willing to sacrifice to democratize their work isn’t fit to be an artist.

There is no difference cus there’s no such thing as a bad person. It’s a myth made up and enforced so that we’d write off our own community members and the state can do what it wants. The key is to remember that somebody else’s demons, though, aren’t always your responsibility.

I also think it’s just the occlusive nature of the modern internet sphere. Our algorithms are less likely to show us jokes than it is outrage, so unless you catch the joke as part of a specific group, you’re just seeing people being mad at others for not getting it.
