The rumors are real - @Celo is becoming the new home for stables. 5M+ weekly USDT users and 7.5M+ weekly transactions, that kind of activity speaks for itself, especially in this market. While most L2s are struggling, Celo is quietly showing what a real, working community looks like.

Even with the market cooling off and most prices sliding, @Mantle_Official is holding its ground. In fact, their DeFi TVL just crossed $1B ATH ($1.006B via DefiLlama), with stablecoin mcap around $800–900M+. @Aave V3’s launch has clearly been a major driver, pulling in massive deposits. The Aave market alone surpassed $1.25B in under a month. Current TVL is still hovering around $700–800M, showing weekly gains of 3–8%, which is impressive given the broader market slowdown. Giants like @arbitrum ($15–20B+) and @base ($10B+) still dominate in size and activity, but what really stands out to me about Mantle is their efficiency, with fast inflows, RWA plays, and mETH restaking, along with their modular roadmap that includes ZK transitions, tokenized assets, and cross-chain/CeFi bridges like @Bybit_Official Vault. I’m still bullish on Mantle (disclosure: early supporter), and it’s exciting to see a project staying resilient and executing in a market where most things are slowing down. gMNT!

In 2024 there was one airdrop that went pretty much like this: 1) Stake 1,000+ tokens: get a x1,5 multiplier on your 1,000 airdrop tokens. 2) Stake 1,000 tokens through 1,000 accounts (1 staked token per account): get a x215 multiplier on your 1,000 airdrop tokens. A 140x mismatch... clearly something is not right. Many think airdrops should act in favour of organic community members (usually retails with smaller accounts/pockets), but what percentage of these accounts are actually richer farmers who are playing the sybil game? Team often boasts huge participation in their incentivized testnets/airdrops, showing inflated metrics that hold little to no value, and end up giving tokens away mostly to mercenary capital, leading to unfairness and dissatisfaction within the community. Is the problem truly related to airdrops’ design, or perhaps is the underlying identity infra that lacks (e.g. deceivable KYC mechanics)? We at @Humanityprot stand for fairness with PoH. Thanks to our decentralized identity management system, projects can easily filter out bots and sybils through our accurate address verification procedures, which make sure that your precious tokens only go towards onboarding real users. We've had a look into @Humanityprot as part of the ongoing data privacy conversation, with some big players soon to come online. @ollieblocmates has done the homework and a complete guide, but the backstory is as follows. You've probably handed over your data to every app and website you’ve ever used. They literally have everything. Your name, email, location, and even your shoe size at this point. As we know it's all gathered so that they can sell you stuff or even sell your data. Classic web2 stuff. Humanity is another name offering up a crypto answer to this. Instead of just slinging your data around, it lets you prove you're human with your palm print. Slightly dystopian, but it's by using its 'Proof-of-Humanity.' Your data stays yours, encrypted, and out of the hands of everyone else. They use some fancy cryptography and zero-knowledge proofs, which Ollie has delved into in the article, to make sure no one knows anything about you except you're a legit human. Simple, secure, no shady stuff. Potentially one to keep an eye on and see how this develops, linking the research below.
