I do not, in fact, have any Croatian blood, and Serbs do not need to be religious, nationalistic, conservative or really anything of the sort. And Serbs do not have to blindly agree and follow anything, be it in their supposed name or not, and so, neither do I

@2shotsthrufranz Oh, I'm not saying they're mythomanic, I'm saying I don't care. Also, mythomania isn't the cause, it's a symptom. The cause(s) are widespread political cynicism within a low trust society, a siege mentality derived from those two and catastrophic education policies

This gave me a little chuckle I'm not obsessed with spitting on Serbia. I am Serbian, I live here, and by the grace of God, I see daily a thousand things wrong with this country, it's society, it's politics, it's economy, it's priorities and it's self perception

@odysseus1389 You're talking with a trans right activist obsessed with spitting on Serbia (while living in Serbia). A week ago he even claimed that Serbs enslaved Macedonians in 1913 cuz they couldn't vote, ignoring that all people in Old Serbia couldn't do that due to military administration.

@roloblanc Both, really. Politically, people here are extremely distrustful, extremely cynical and extremely nationalistic, to the point that most socially or economically liberal people will still use ethnic slurs for minorities and get offended if you mention Kosovo as a state.

The Serbs have this weird mythology about many of the battles during the 90's whereby the Serbian forces were outnumbered or underequipped, calling these heroic sacrifices or defences, instead of what it actually all was... Arrogant incompetent imperialism

@TiredAutarch Србско царство је било врхунац развоја средњевековне србске државе. Није "пало с неба". У поређењу са нововековном Краљевином Србијом, република која је насилно уведена 1945. године је неуспео оглед са тешким последицама које и данас живимо.

20 godina duže smo bili de SFRJ nego što je Srpsko carstvo postojalo. 2 godine duže smo demokratska republika nego što je Srpsko carstvo postojalo. 6 godina od sad će Republika Kosovo postojati podjednako dugo kao Srpsko carstvo.

@roloblanc Any legitimate grievances have at this point been buried beneath a mountain of delusions and national self pity. There are only so many graffiti calling for renewed ethnic cleansing, so many expressions of national hatred, so many proclamations of betrayal one can stomach.

@toastonoff Na kraju krajeva, povukao sam se iz politike. Niko nije više u opasnosti da znajući ili neznajući glasa za mene kao svog predstavnika u bilo kojoj instituciji i nemam nameru da se vraćam u istu i stavim bilo koga u tu opasnost. Moj tvit je običan šitpost.

@toastonoff Da me na kraju dana i ne zanima da li je neko stvarno bio žrtva tuđe agresije, nego kakav odnos prema toj agresiji i potomcima onih koji su je činili trenutno žive generacije u ovom društvu imaju.
