A quite fitting way to end my time at @boxing_social off the back of a MC fight week in Belfast. I made the decision a few weeks ago that it was time for me to move on.

In 33 years as a professional journalist including my time at newspapers well before covering boxing I’ve conducted thousands of interviews. Never once have I given my subject my questions ahead of time. And if I was asked to do so I just wouldn’t do the interview. Very clear cut to me. If anyone is giving Dana or any other subject questions ahead of time they can fuck right off. The subject can ask. Fine. But to acquiesce? You’re a fraud.

@TomDev88 @TstreeT_Contro He does ok. I think his biggest one was 15k at home. For context the BKFC with two 45 year old ex-UFC guys headlining sold the same place out with close to 19k.

So Teofimo and Shakur got $8,000,000 a piece and Vergil Ortiz's manager wanted $7,000,000 for the Boots fight. Golden Boy offered $3,000,000 with a split of PPV revenue if the fight crossed 200,000 PPV buys (which I doubt would sell that much).

Boxing isn’t a sport that you get paid by how good you are, instead it’s a business where you get paid by how much revenue you generate.

What I can’t get my head around with the Benn and Hearn thing is, Benn imo is a very limited fighter, he’s never won any title of note and imo losses the all the current world champions
I’d rather sign a great fighter than a limited fighter who can chat shite
