They are assumed by individuals in bad faith even in the face of him directly saying their participation is not an endorsement of doctrine any more than the LDS and Atheist who will be there.

I actually love @MikeWingerii and agree with the Ruslan issue. However, I don’t think the issue is the debate conference. It’s claiming to be Protestant when you’re no longer broadly dealing with a church expression that historically has been treated as not a biblical one for many heresies. Protestantism proper considers Marian dogmas nonsense and heresy—specifically idolatry. They don’t believe in faith alone. By Protestant definition, you affirm that salvation is by grace through faith alone, but in Catholicism and Orthodoxy there is an open heresy of works salvation articulated while being functionally denied.

First, Michael Knowles is not speaking at the Summit. He was originally slated to be part of a moderated conversation with Gavin Ortlund specifically to discuss the differences between Catholics and Protestants. Gavin is also giving a keynote on what it means to be Protestant. Knowles can no longer attend and has been replaced by Trent Horn, a Catholic apologist. The purpose of that segment is to articulate differences clearly, not to declare theological unity. For additional context, we are also hosting a conversation on the Trinity between an LDS representative and God Logic Apologetics, and a panel with Dr. Sean McDowell and an atheist. No one would reasonably argue that hosting those conversations means we endorse Mormon theology or atheism. Discussion is not endorsement. Second, the pricing conversation needs real context. The Seabird Resort on the beach is a six figure venue cost alone. That does not include production, staging, sound, lighting, travel, lodging, insurance, security, staff, or meals. VIP includes meals throughout the conference. Kids under 8 attend free, including VIP access. We have given away over 100 scholarship tickets to families who could not afford to attend. Those families receive full access to the event. The higher tier tickets help make that possible. That is not partiality. That is a cross subsidy model. James 2 addresses favoritism inside the gathered church, giving spiritual preference to the wealthy over the poor. This is not a church service. It is a multi day event at a private venue. No one is being given greater spiritual standing. no one is excluded from the keynotes or core content because of finances. In fact, over 100 families are attending for free. Last year I personally lost nearly $40,000 hosting this event. This year I would genuinely be thrilled to break even. On top of that, we are hosting a completely free outdoor music festival outreach featuring JVKE, KB, and Indie Tribe. That makes profitability even less likely. If someone does not like Christian events at nice resorts, that is fine. Some people prefer events hosted in churches or offered at no cost. This is not a church conference. It is a large scale event at a venue on the beach. That is not for everyone, and that is okay. Third, the monetization clips being circulated are from years ago when I was coaching artists on entrepreneurship. I was not producing ministry content at that time. My language and framing around finances has evolved. Teaching Christians how to build sustainable income is not the same thing as exploiting Christians. I responded to you publicly on X days ago with several of these same clarifications. I also addressed many of these points in multiple videos last year. Those responses were not included. You did not reach out for clarification before publishing. Leaving out scholarships, financial losses, free access for young kids, the actual format of the conversations, and public clarifications that were already given does not simply change the framing. It manipulates it. These omissions are either oversight at best or slander at worst. If the goal were money, I would not host an event that has already cost me tens of thousands of dollars personally.

See, this is how it works, Todd White lies in the name of God, deceives and manipulates those who love and trust him, enriches himself in the name of Christ, gives out bad theology, fake miracles, and leaves a trail of hurt people in his wake, including students who suffered serious physical harms because of his unbiblical teaching on medicine. Then I make a joke about getting his channel to 666k subs and you say I am losing credibility. Let me lose even more credibility and say that Todd has become a plant of Satan propped up by lies in order to defame and derail the body of Christ.
