The Tuolumne’s Healthy Rivers & Landscapes plan is based on science specific to the Tuolumne—science that identifies challenges like predation & allows for the implementation of cutting edge adaptive management techniques to maximize the benefits of the measures in the plan.

As always, please use extreme caution near the river, as the water is cold, fast moving, and can contain debris. More information on Don Pedro and Tuolumne River conditions can be found at tid.org/hydrology.

TID has begun making proactive releases from Don Pedro Reservoir due to significant precipitation forecasted in the Tuolumne River Watershed over the next 16 days. With these releases and localized precipitation, the Tuolumne River will rise quickly, above normal winter levels.

On this day in 1893, La Grange Dam was completed. At the time, it was the tallest overflow dam in the country. Today, over 130 years later, it works just as hard, serving the same valuable purpose of diverting water into the irrigation systems of both TID and @mod_irrigation.
