I genuinely don't get why so many Arsenal fans rate Mateus Fernandes ahead of Sandro Tonali when discussing midfield targets. Don't get me wrong, Fernandes is a very talented player. He's young, technical, progressive on the ball and has a lot of room to grow. I understand the appeal. But if we're talking about who would be the better midfielder for Arsenal right now, I'm taking Tonali every single day of the week. When I watch Tonali, I see a midfielder tailor-made for the Premier League. The intensity, the work rate, the defensive awareness, the ability to play through pressure, the passing range, the leadership. He does so many things at a high level that Arsenal already value in their midfielders. People talk about Arsenal needing creativity, but what Arsenal also need is control. Tonali gives you control. He helps you dominate transitions, win second balls, dictate tempo and maintain structure when games become chaotic. I think some fans are getting caught up in potential and forgetting what a complete midfielder actually looks like. Tonali has already proven himself in Serie A, the Champions League and the Premier League. He's played in title races, knockout football and high-pressure matches. There are very few midfielders in Europe that combine technical quality with defensive intensity the way he does. For Arteta's system especially, I think Tonali would be an absolute monster. Put him alongside Rice and suddenly you've got a midfield that can compete physically, technically and tactically with anyone in Europe. Maybe Fernandes develops into the better player one day. That's entirely possible. But if Arsenal called me today and asked which midfielder improves this team immediately and gives us the best chance of winning major trophies, my answer is Tonali without even needing a second thought.

Sometimes, it is the silence of grief, disappointment, responsibility, and pain that cannot find words. It is the silence that settles after dreams collapse, after tears dry up, and after everyone assumes that because you are a man, you will somehow find a way to carry the weight alone. Many boys are taught to avoid vulnerability and present a facade of stoic toughness. The silence after loss. The silence after failure. The silence after disappointment. The silence that comes when the world expects you to keep moving, even when you're falling apart inside. Many people see a man's strength, but few see the battles he fights in private. We are often taught to endure, suppress our emotions, and carry our burdens without complaint. So when life breaks us, we suffer quietly. I know that silence. At 18, while in SS3, I lost my best partner in the world. My dad. The condolences eventually stopped. People returned to their lives. But I was left with an emptiness that words could not explain, the silence of a son who no longer had his father's guidance, the silence of unanswered questions, and the silence of trying to be strong before I was ready. Years later, I gained admission to study Petroleum Engineering in FUTO, only to leave that path in pursuit of Medicine in UKRAINE a year later. By 2022, my visa was ready, my fees were paid, and my flight was booked. Then the war began. In a moment, the future I had imagined disappeared. What followed was another silence. The silence of watching your plans collapse. The silence of depression. The silence of locking yourself away because you don't know how to explain your pain to anyone. For a long time, I felt trapped in that darkness. Then my younger sister became the voice that interrupted the silence. When I isolated myself, she checked on me. When I lost hope, she encouraged me. When I couldn't see a future, she saw one for me. Her love became the bridge between despair and hope. Eventually, I chose to begin again. I took a teaching job I found on Facebook and traveled across the country to start over. It wasn't the life I had planned, but it became the life that helped rebuild me. Today, I am in my final year of Nursing school. I'm also learning Product Design and Virtual Assistance because I've learned that growth doesn't stop when life disappoints you. Looking back, I realize something: The silence that follows us doesn't always mean the story is over. Sometimes, it is where resilience is born. Sometimes, it is where character is built. Sometimes, it is where God prepares us for a new beginning. One of the reasons I joined X is to create opportunities, not only for myself but for the sister who stood beside me when I had almost given up on myself. She'll be entering university this year, a good keyboardist and supporting her dreams is one of my biggest motivations. To my mutuals, thank you and I love each and every single one of you.
