Denouncing "dark money" is easy politics, but the idea that no one should have a voice in public affairs unless they organize and operate like a PAC is downright un-American.

You contribute a small amount to a political campaign. You're not the rich and powerful, just a concerned citizen. Should your name and home address be placed forever in a government run, publicly accessible database? Do you neighbors--for good or evil--have a "right to know" about your political beliefs? Compulsory campaign finance disclosure is supposed to be about *major* sources of political influence--not giving every nutjob out there information on the political connections and beliefs of ordinary Americans.
