@TheChaseGatsby Yeah, you have to have a strategy when trading options. I never exercise my options, only trade em to collect profits or take loss in some cases. And I have been trading on and off for over a year, but been active this past 2-3 months.

@VivekVIPatel I'll research it more. I actually heard about it from a youtube video, but the guy didn't go into much detail.The guys strategy was to put companies he wanted to buy so if stock decreased he made money and if they didn't he didn't mind buying them How long have you been trading?

I'm perfectly fine doubling down in a recession. That presents the best value. Especially for a long term play.

@TheChaseGatsby Yeah but there are other factors that are considered too. Contract expiration date, strike price of the put/call option. I’d watch a YouTube video on it to really understand the details. There is literally no limit to margin of profit when trading options.

@VivekVIPatel As an example say I brought a put on Hertz when it was trading at $5 and I expected it to go down to $3. If it reaches that price do I profit $2 per share for a total of $200? Also say it goes down to $3.50 and not $3, I purchase 100 shares at the current rate of $3.50 or $5?

@TheChaseGatsby Yes. It’s options trading. Buy a call option if you think the price will go up or buy a put option if you think the price will go down. One option contract is like buying 100 shares, but your trade em before they expire and collect profit/loss
