I do not care what sam hyde may or may not believe because his comedy is amusing to me. I hardly started crying when chris morris developed TDS; I like a lot of stephen frys work with hugh laurie. It doesnt matter whether a jester keeps woke or whatever beneath his harlequin hat

My notetaking (for personal reading) is not particularly systematic. It consists at the beginning of faithful word-for-word transcription for pages at a time, as I find my bearings in the text, before recording only pleasant turns of phrase which catch my eye.

For me, it was when the government forced the firing of Glenn Hoddle as England manager because it disapproved of his religious opinions, & only I seemed outraged. I couldn't believe that such a thing could ever happen in Britain. Nothing was ever the same for me after that.

@Seikilos5 Well the point is he didn't write a poem or a tragedy on English history, which had been his ambition even into his forties. The failure, as he saw it, of the revolution crushed his spirits and much embittered him towards his countrymen. So he chose instead a Biblical subject.
