The firefighter killed in the line of duty during the riots has now been named, Dorian Damelincourt was 24 years old and is believed to have suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest. Details on how this tragedy occurred exactly are still not fully known at this time, but we do know he was tackling multiple vehicle fires caused by rioters in the city. As stated before, my comments remain firmly with his family, friends and colleagues at this tragic time.

My thoughts are with our brothers and sisters in Paris, overnight a 24 year old firefighter was killed in the line of duty as riots continue in the city. My thoughts as always at this tragic time are also with the firefighters family and friends, who will all be in pain today.

🚨URGENT SAFETY MESSAGE🚨 We’re seeing an increase in calls to houses where these coals (and similar) are being burned indoors as incense. The carbon monoxide reading in this small house was 600ppm which poses a serious risk of death. The occupiers felt unwell… 1/2

@WestMidsFire @TimAirbusx the trainees are then posted to an operational station where they perfect their skills and have up to 3 years to become competent. Most achieve this in 18-24 months. My course was 16 weeks and residential in 1992 and it's not that trainees do not do certain things...

@WestMidsFire @TimAirbusx I run the 8 week safe to ride Trainee Firefighter Development Programme. You can be assured that only those that are "safe" Leave our course. The course covers the most safety critical aspects such as Hose, Pumps, Ladders, RTC, BA, FREC, Haz Mats, SWAH, Water Safety.
