In Collective Worship today, Mr Heathcote retold the events of how God, Yahweh , defeated the Egyptian Gods in order for the Egyptian Pharaoh to realise that there is only one God. One God and Father of all,who is over all,through all and in all. Ephesians 4:6 @SchoolWhitegate

It was lovely to have the Whitegate family back again after the summer holiday and share our favourite memories. Mrs Mackenzie shared her road trip adventure and we learnt some amazing facts about France. @SchoolWhitegate

Maple had an amazing day at Stafford Castle. They loved exploring the castle, dressing up and making their own coins! @SchoolWhitegate

Former professional footballer and current Witton Albion manager Jon Macken led today’s worship. He spoke about the journey through his career, paying special attention to the importance of self-belief and using the experience of defeat to help succeed. @ValeRoyalSSP

This afternoon Maple really enjoyed going out for a walk in search of different types of houses in our local area. Thank you to Oak for accompanying us. @SchoolWhitegate

The children were shocked to find out that a witch had been in our classroom over the holidays. They came up with super ideas as to how we might capture her in English.

Today in History we have been trying to order homes from oldest to newest in a timeline. We had great discussions as to why some might be older than others. ⁦@SchoolWhitegate⁩

Today we read the book ‘It’s Up to Us’ and learnt that King Charles III is very passionate about protecting nature. We then went on a nature walk which helped to inspire our artwork. Take a look at some of our finished pieces. ⁦@SchoolWhitegate⁩

The children had a fantastic time at Forest School. They played games, built dens and climbed trees. Well done Maple, you demonstrated great team work and problem solving skills. ❤️🌲🪵

Today we looked at clues and thought about our new English text. We discovered a spell book, some blonde strands of hair and a witches hat. The clues reminded some of us of the story Rapunzel. @SchoolWhitegate

Maple had a great afternoon doing lots of different fun Easter activities. They made Easter Baskets, Cards, a cross out of Lego and much more. A busy afternoon! @SchoolWhitegate
