9 Months ago I walked into a Coffee Shop... I saw the most stunningly beautiful girl I'd ever seen. My heart beat out of my chest. I had to know her name. Flash forward to last night. By the bay At sunset. I'm down on one knee. Asking her to marry me. And she said YES! When I first saw her 9 months ago... Making espressos. Wearing a work apron. Her long jet-black hair pulled back into a ponytail. I had one thought: "I need to talk to this girl." I started going to that coffee shop every chance I could... But every time I went this mystery girl wouldn't be at the register to take my order. Until one day (visit 20 or so) I caught her. I was nervous but managed to ask: "How's your day going?" "Good. How about you?" Her voice was as beautiful as her face... "Really good. I finally get to order with you." She smiled, blushed, and laughed. "I'm Nick. What's your name?" She told me her name. It was 15 letters and 5 syllables long. "Wow! That's the longest name I've ever heard." "I'm Mongolian. We have long names." Then I did something ballsy. I handed her my phone and asked: "Can you spell it?" She typed her name into my contacts. "Put your number in there too. I want to hear your stories about growing up in Mongolia." To my amazement. She did. After 2 weeks of texting and more coffee shop visits... I talked her into going on a date. We ended up talking for over 3 hours. Despite the laugh barrier, we seem to really understand each other at a deep level. And the understanding and love have grown exponentially since. She's the most... Interesting Beautiful Feminine Loving Kind ...woman I've ever met in my life. And by some strange miracle... She loves me. ... Here's the thing y'all. I'm gonna keep it real. I know I'm not "The most desirable man" out there. I'm not tall (5'7") I'm not the best-looking I have a divorce and 2 children (I have a good career) but I'm not rich But I was... Open Hoest Genunie ...with my girl from the first moment. I use all the courage I have to... Open my heart Tell her my true intentions And take care of her as best I could ... every time I interact with her. She fell in love with me for who I really am. I fall deeper in love with her the more she shows me her true heart and soul. I can't put into words how blessed I feel that she came into my life. I'm looking forward to building a life and family with her more than I could ever capture in this short post. I want to share our story in the hope that it's a testament to the real, raw, beautiful love that is out there for all of us. God bless.

You’re not seeing me. You’re seeing the story you made up about me. From this picture you might assume I was flipping someone off, instead my son decided to make it seem I was flipping off his new wife, instead of him. This is a moment in time when my son and I were goofing off with each other. Teasing us our love language…

My wife and I are flying to China 🇨🇳 My ghostwriting client is paying for our flights… And 4 nights at one of the most iconic hotels in Macau 🇲🇴 All so I can do something I have zero experience doing. Here’s the lesson. (And what you can learn about relationship building.) I’ve been working with this client for a little over a year. Ghostwriting his social media, newsletter, and helping manage his online presence. He’s a professional keynote speaker with a $25,000 speaking fee and does around 30–40 events a year. We meet on Zoom about once a week, and I’ve met him in person four times. Three times when he was in my area (San Francisco) for events. And once when I flew to a photoshoot he had in Scottsdale, Arizona. He’s worked with several ghostwriters and social media managers over the past seven years. But he’s told me many times: “Nobody understands me and my message like you do.” Recently he couldn’t get his usual video crew to join him for a keynote in China. So he asked if I’d come film him. At first I said no. 1. I have zero professional filming experience 2. I didn’t want my first trip to Asia to be without my wife Then he said: “What if I cover everything for both of you?” Flights. Hotel. Ubers. Expenses. “I don’t need professional videography. I just need someone I trust.” “And honestly… I like hanging out with you.” So I said yes. Next month we’re flying to Hong Kong and spending four days filming his keynote events. Then we’ll fly to my wife’s homeland, Mongolia 🇲🇳 After almost two years of marriage, I’ll finally meet her family in person. Here’s the takeaway: The best opportunities rarely come from a resume. They come from relationships. When people trust you, they stop hiring you for your skills. They start bringing you into their world. Having skills is obviously important, but being the kind of person people enjoy being around, and trust, is the real game changer. For me, it lead to flying half way around the world with my favorite persons (my wife) for free, finally going to her homeland and meeting her family. Imagined what the right client relationship could do for you.

Scientists say the “a$$hole personality type” is hard to detect… But there’s a simple field test: Tell someone a dog likes them. If their response is “Ugh, I hate dogs,”congratulations! The diagnostic just came back positive. Dogs are walking joy generators. If a creature whose only agenda is love me, feed me, let’s go outside irritates you… that’s interesting personality data. A dog runs up wagging like you just saved the world and your reaction is annoyance? That’s not a dog problem. That’s a human calibration issue. Dogs forgive instantly, celebrate everything, and assume the best about people. If that energy bothers you… I start wondering where the a$$hole dial is set on your personality settings. I trust dogs more than most humans. If a dog doesn’t like someone, I take notes. If someone doesn’t like dogs… I take more notes. Not liking dogs doesn’t automatically make someone an asshole… but let’s just say the Venn diagram gets uncomfortably close. Liking dogs isn’t about animals. It’s about recognizing pure joy when it walks into the room. If that bothers you… Tag someone you know that doesn't like dogs @GregLuntX #doglovers

@Power_WithinU Wow! Best portrait I’ve seen you do. I can feel the attitude of the girl in the painting. Nice Van Gogh-y vibes too.

When I painted “SF Golden Gate Bridge,” I was thinking about two people who should never have met, but did. A man from Oakland. A woman from Mongolia. Different languages. Different histories. They would stand together and look out at this bridge, searching for words, then giving up on words and letting the silence do the work instead. Over time, they learned each other’s language. Slowly. Imperfectly. But even before the words came, there was this place—this span of steel and light—that held them both. I began to see the Golden Gate not just as architecture, but as a quiet witness. A bridge between countries, cultures, and the small, ordinary evenings where two people try to understand one another. This painting grew out of their love story. Out of the space between them, and the way they crossed it. SF Golden Gate Bridge | Open Edition Giclée Matted Print pforbesart.com/product/sf-gol… via @Power_WithinU

@Power_WithinU The man from Oakland bought the original painting. And now looks at it everyday as a symbol of not only our love story, but a reminder of how special it is to have another human see the beautiful… And capture it in such a timeless way.

“I’m giving up. I found my breaking point. I can’t do this anymore.” These thoughts went through my head more times than I can count in this last year. Life asked me to grow more in these last 12 months than any other chapter of my life. Here’s what I learned in the process: When you really go for your dreams, you’re forced to let go of your old identity. And it doesn’t happen in one heroic moment… It’s a daily decision that sits before you asking: Do you want to be the kind of person who doesn’t compromise their dreams? Who doesn’t settle for less? Who doesn’t live with the regret of giving up? I worked my ass off for 3 years writing every single day. While working 50–70 hour weeks in the electrical field, being a father of 2, and marrying the love of my life. With no promise of it leading to anything. Just a belief I was meant to have a positive impact on the world with the written word. A belief that if I pursued my life’s calling earnestly enough, life would give me the opportunities to make it a reality. And this year, it happened. I got the chance to work with 15 amazing people to ghostwrite content that reached millions of readers. I ghostwrote books and keynotes that will live on long after I’m gone. But I lived with that nagging fear… Am I a fraud? Do I belong in this position? Can I keep up with these expectations? Growth doesn’t always feel like you’re on the right track. It feels like doubt, fatigue, and choosing to keep going anyway. Most people quit at the exact moment their old identity is dissolving. They mistake the discomfort for failure. It isn’t. It’s the cost of becoming someone new. If you’re in that in-between season right now, questioning yourself, wondering if it’s all a waste, hear this: You’re not broken. You’re not behind. You’re being rebuilt. Keep writing. Keep showing up. Keep choosing the harder path. One day you’ll look back at this chapter and realize it wasn’t your breaking point. It was your turning point. And you were meant to discover the person on the other side.
