People often forget that strong relationships aren't created overnight. They are built over months and years of trust, patience, sacrifice, and choosing each other again and again. Take couples who have been together for years. They didn't wake up one morning with a perfect relationship. They grew together because they wanted to. They chose each other through different seasons of life, even when things weren't easy. That's why I don't agree when people say a man shouldn't be in a relationship unless he's financially comfortable. If you're not emotionally or mentally ready for a relationship, that's okay, but don't bring someone into your life only to make them carry the weight of your uncertainty. If you know you're not ready to commit, be honest about it. Don't make promises you can't keep. That's not fair to the other person. I've seen many men stay with the women they truly love while they were still building their lives. They didn't have everything figured out, but they had honesty, commitment, and a partner who believed in them. Together, they grew. So when I hear statements like, "Women will only drain you emotionally and mentally," I don't believe that's the whole story. A healthy relationship isn't about draining each other, it's about supporting each other. If you're with someone who genuinely loves you and wants to see you succeed, they'll stand beside you, not against you. Love isn't sustained by money alone. It's sustained by honesty, respect, consistency, and two people who are equally committed to making it work. The right relationship won't remove life's challenges, but it gives you someone willing to face them with you.
