Last 2 games have felt like a throwback to the Nuno era - compact 1st half & lightning quick counters in the 2nd half to nick the win. Atmosphere electric too. Rodrigo’s goal reminded me so much of a Jota type finish too, on a night when we all paid tribute to our beloved no 18.

@daveazzopardi I’d imagine the return of Bellegarde from injury will also influence this decision. Shame as we all had such high hopes for him following the CWC but we’ve seen very little from him bar a couple of decent performances.

Angel Gomes is his replacement I’d have said? Good fee. Just hasn’t worked for him here.

@HLTCO Intrigued to see how it goes with JSL, Dan. A shadow of the player we saw last season & his move to Newcastle not coming off in the summer played a part. Not the dominant striker he should be given his size & needs good service (which we haven’t given him at all this season)

Didn’t think the RE appointment would have the usual new manager “bounce”, I just hoped he would make us more competitive & give us some pride back. Tonight was that exemplified after some indifferent performances of late. Need to now replicate that at Molineux on Saturday 👍🏻

@DJRwwfc @robbowwfc I can’t see a pattern to any of our play this season & the players seem to take up really random positions. Like you I’ve been fairly light on Pereira until now but some of his decisions are beyond baffling.

Says the bloke who sat in the dugout pretty much all the second half & offered no help at all to the players from the sidelines.
