@OORGANJAA @Cfc_Kemboi He can play both (18 appearances at LB and 9 at CB) but featured more as a LB and I think has looked better there. Looking at current Chelsea personnel I think LB is also the clearer route to significant minutes/starts (only Cucurella ahead of him who will be 28 this summer).

@drogbaregenn @Cfc_Kemboi Think we did both a major disservice this season by recalling Sarr from Strasbourg and not loaning out Acheampong so he could get consistent experience. We could use the signing of a high quality CB for present but doing so risks unsettling either to push for a permanent move.

@drogbaregenn @Cfc_Kemboi Current SDs have veered off this but it’s a question of retaining a pathway for youth vs. signing players who better help us compete now. I think we’ll encounter same predicament at CB. Acheampong and Sarr both promising young players but not helping us win in near term.

@MattZeitlin My guess is lobbyists and voters wanted access to solar power and not simply lower dependence on fossil fuels. Bad policy, I agree, but if it’s why the people want…

it's not super obvious to me why *access to solar power* is considered a policy goal for a state (as opposed to, say, reducing emissions or air pollution or fossil fuel dependence)

@iam_brau What do you expect from a 20 yr old, new to the team and in a backline that hasn’t played with each other? Harsh to put primary blame on him rather than manager and SDs.

Very childish error. Imagine making such an error in a high profile match. Inexperienced, poor positioning and poor reading. This is very low from Sarr.

@KelsTheAnalyst I fear our ability to reinvest if we were to sell (luckily deal length gives us leverage) but I think his tactical fit isnt ideal (hence why his role completely changed) and an inferior player/talent could give most of what he did, though I wouldn’t go for a direct replacement

@KelsTheAnalyst Obviously, ideally not so public about it but he’s a passionate player and an interview after a tough loss. He’s a great player but not the game changer he was in his early days, I think his G/A flatters his actual impact but losing him would be a major indictment of project.

I love Enzo but nah he can't be coming out saying stuff like that No one is bigger than the program and if feels that he has outgrown Chelsea then we need to sanction a sale this summer I've stood by him and still love him but I only want loyal soldiers who are ready to fight through thick and thin however how long it takes

@TheScore01 Harsh or just plain inaccurate? I think you can reach the same conclusion that the SDs have been below par without completely ignoring sales (I think they’ve done a pretty good job getting money for dead weight) and including signings not made by current SDs

Being really harsh, we’ve wasted about £694m of the money spent. This doesn’t include KDH who did a decent job for us. It does include Wes. Includes Garnacho but I still think there’s a player there. Best in class SDs you know. £700m wasted. No one wastes money like them.

@SlBrandin @NiyerEnergy @benjdwilson This. I think it’s insufficient to call data centers just “load growth”. The grid has dealt with large industrial loads before but data centers are literally a different load class (unique tariffs) that breaks a lot of the legacy assumptions that underpin the grid.

This is not a statement about data centers It’s a statement about how well market/information systems perform the function of coordinating grid expansion and operations in a risk-adjusted, least cost manner

@TheScore01 Main point still stands but £350 mn wasn’t fully wasted as we recouped a decent amount of money for several of them and turned an accounting profit on most. Most of these signings weren’t ever intended to improve the team (key issue) but potential “financial opportunities”.

@KelsTheAnalyst Unless a very offensive game state probably better to have 2 of Caicedo, Santos, Lavia, Essugo or even Reece in double pivot as opposed to Enzo. I think this makes Barco more of a luxury at this point.

@KelsTheAnalyst I agree tough for Estevao, Enzo, Palmer and Caicedo to all coexist (Rosenior even tried Enzo at LW) but I think ability to shift to a more offensive 4-2-3-1 structure to allow Palmer and Estevao to coexist (our two highest ceiling players) is something we should be developing.

I like Barco and I think he should be brought in as Enzo's deputy in that LCM role LCM-Enzo, Barco RCM-Caicedo, Essugo DM-Lavia, Santos Unless Chelsea eventually chooses to sign Amadou Onana as a 6 for his superior physical qualities to add to our current options, I want Lavia & Santos to be used simultaneously for that holding midfield role. Andrey Santos against low blocks sides ✅ Lavia against high pressing sides ✅

@RhysCarefree A lot of these signings were simply bad signings. Of all these names Guehi is only one who starts for us today and Hall is only one I think we’ll regret selling (he left for minutes and even now he’d still be a backup to Cucurella)

@RhysCarefree Guehi was a perfectly defensible sale when we made it, though I admit now he’d be a starter. We sold him nearly 4 years ago, had we kept him he wouldn’t have gotten the minutes/experience to develop into player he is today.
