@1MOAsolutions I’m with you man but give some grace, especially on the internet of opinions. Everyone has their stages after the Army. It’s a constant eb and flow of “I hated it” to the “best days of my life”.

I joined the Army when I was 18 thinking I’d do one enlistment and get out. Turned out I’d stay in for 2 decades, travel the world and rack up 3 combat tours to Iraq during the height of the GWOT. This guy is full of shit. He’s built a brand off of the core values of the military and now he wants to say it’s not worth it. Everything I have today I owe to Uncle Sam and that includes the good and bad. I grew up poor white trash in a trailer park but the Army gave me the chance to own a home, be a present and engaged Father and provide a good life for my family. I learned who I was and how far I could go when it mattered the most. There are very few opportunities for young men to set themselves up for long term success like the Military. Is it fair at time? No. Is it risk free? No. But that’s part of the deal and anyone who’s ever served knows it. There’s an inherent risk to military service even during peace time but the reward is worth it for so many of us. History also shows that when you look at the success of military service members after they’ve returned from war or once they get out.
