@KingVelesI Im not an expert in anything. But I think age is a reason to take rest inbetween training. Seven months ago I started boxing, at 47yo. I try to go 4 days a week, plus one day doing some running. Sometimes my body screams to stop. Feet, elbow pain. It's healthy for your mind too

We're in 2026, and people still think your muscles need dedicated rest days to recover. Folks, your muscles don't wait for rest days to start recovering. Recovery is an ongoing, continuous process. Imagine two guys. Both are doing the same amount of weekly training volume, but one is spacing it out over seven workouts while the other is cramming it all into three. Since both of them are doing the same amount of work, isn't it logical that they're also getting THE SAME AMOUNT OF REST? If training every day suits your personality and lifestyle, there is zero reason not to do it. I don't like rest days, so I don't take them. If you ask me, the whole rest days thing started simply because gyms used to close for the weekend.

@KingVelesI @Dean_Corso999 Hey guys, he has a point, and you know it. Not all time is wasted in videogames, but we have to recognize that all games are not peak of entertainment. Nowadays specially, competitive games broke the narrative stories. Kids are more interested in the ladder than in the magic.

@Dean_Corso999 Doubtful, as it already payed for several of these, and the longer you do it, the better it pays.

No matter how much you love gaming (I sure did), you'll probably regret the time you've spent on it one day. Sure, you can cope by telling yourself you are "learning stuff", "increasing your problem-solving skills", "improving your reflexes", etc., but deep down, you know that's BS, as I did in my gaming days. Once that screen goes dark, you have NOTHING to show for all the hours of your life you've poured into it. They're gone forever. Sure, you got some cheap dopamine out of it. For a minute, you felt that sweet sense of progress and accomplishment. But that was merely fake progress and the illusion of accomplishment. Back in reality, you did nothing but sit in a chair while moving pixels on a screen. Hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of hours poured into mastering a skill that is completely inapplicable to anything in the real world. Had you devoted that time to a worthy skill instead, you would've been a master craftsman, artist, athlete, musician, you name it, by now. It's not too late, though. You still have a choice. You can keep whittling your life away while moving strong, intelligent, capable, and impressive characters on a screen, or... you can become one of them. Choose wisely, for time is the stuff life is made of, and you have less of it than you think. As a former passionate gamer, let me tell you: There's far more joy, accomplishment, and fulfillment to be found in the real world.
