A robot cop! 🚓 China is testing a crime-fighting robot called Rotunbot, a self-balancing, 125-kg spherical device. All right, let's see what it can do! 👀 The robot can chase criminals at speeds up to 35 km/h (22 mph) on land or water and is equipped with non-lethal weapons like tear gas, or smoke bombs. Using GPS, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors, it can navigate its surroundings, track targets, and avoid obstacles. Rotunbot easily handles mud, small drops, and water, and it’s currently being trialed in a commercial zone in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province. Videos show it’s remotely controlled for now, but future versions may be autonomous. This robot is one of the first designed specifically for police chases.
