One year ago, we lost our comrade, Bik McFarlane. He dedicated his life to the pursuit of freedom, unity, peace and equality. It was a life well lived, a life that shaped a legacy that will inspire generations to come.💚

This is NOT about our campaign, but we would like to ask everyone if you have £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or more to donate to these families, we know they would be incredibly grateful. They're due to be in court in weeks & need YOUR HELP. THANK YOU @mccuejury @MattJury_Law crowdjustice.com/case/ivt/

Tonights Vigil For Pat Finucane. Catherine Did An Update And Geraldine Outlined Her Family’s Comitment To Pursue Pats Case. Many Thanks To Andrea Murphy And RFJ.

There are many people carrying grief & pain from the war that ended in 1997. There are many who feel justice hasn't been served. But history waits for no-one and life moves on. Within 10 yrs, people with clear WW2 memories will all be dead. Eventually it will be the same for us.

I was honoured to address a commemoration in memory of Jim McCann, Jim Sloan, Tony Campbell, Brendan Maguire, John Loughran & Ambrose Hardy. The New Lodge Six were unarmed & innocent when they were brutally murdered by British gunfire as they tried in vain to save each other. Fifty-three years on, the days of the 3rd & 4th of February remain imprinted on the psyche & fabric of the New Lodge community. Their memory lives on through their families who have shamefully been denied justice & accountability for decades, despite their brave & dignified campaign. I again call on Hilary Benn to do what the New Lodge Six families have been asking for decades & grant them their basic right to an inquest. If the British government is serious about dealing with the past, it cannot be on its own partisan terms. It must be centred on families & be fully compliant with human rights. Sinn Féin will continue to stand with families seeking truth & justice, & against any legacy process that puts British state forces above the rights of victims.

Sinn Féin MP John Finucane has described as outrageous proposals by Reform to pardon British soldiers convicted of crimes during the conflict in the north. @johnfinucane sinnfein.ie/news/victims-a…
