Packers rookie minicamp will be open to the media tomorrow morning but I've heard it's going to be very much an orientation & not much of a practice, similar to last year. We'll get some shots of players in Green & Gold but don't expect much more than that. MLF will talk as well.

Most national grades on the #Packers draft are like: "Brandon Cisse was a great value at a position of need, McClennin fills a hole, DDS was a steal at a position of need, Jager is a nice late round pickup, the Trey Smack pick was a really good idea, I give them a C."

Packers have become the ONLY team in the entire 2026 draft to spend a pick on a kicker, taking Trey Smack in Round 6. Smack has a cannon for a leg, sure, but with bigger needs everywhere else, using Pick 216 on a kicker feels like peak “what are we doing?” energy.

@NFLDraft_Westen I've seen a couple of D's which is ridiculous imo.

The draft grades for the Packers this cycle have been incredibly ironic given how Packers fans and media has viewed the draft. I would guess the average grade of the Packers is a C+, yet, almost unanimously Packer fans and media members have talked about how great this draft was for the organization. Even my brother-in-law who historically HATES Gutey’s drafts said he really liked it. Personally, O think this draft was a home run. Were there individual things I would have done differently—yes. But as a whole I think this was exactly the draft class we needed.

Last place in 2025 was well deserved but this haul looks way better even if they had less picks. Imo every pick made sense. Your grades are your grades but I'm comfortable with how it went.

@JacobMorley Yesterday I read somewhere about the arrogant stuff. Nothing about medical concerns.

First I have heard of any medical or character red flags. Heard he might have come off as arrogant to some teams (but…. Good?)

@JakeNFLDraft I think I understand. You just would have taken a different approach. Grabbing guys like Lee III, Muhammad and Capeheart on Day 3

@alinger84 Corner and Defensive tackle were just positions where I didn't like the depth and tiers of players that I thought would be available when they picked. EDGE, LB, SAF, G looked deeper on day two.

Trading up for a kicker is the cherry on top for this one
