I think not. Imagine you either can have 100k salary for life, which allows you to live but nothing too crazy. Either you are a builder, have purpose in life, and have a high chance of making 1M or more per year. I would pick building, especially that you can pause if needed, and risk is lower given you still get 100k anyways.

@elonmusk I highly doubt it would work out that way, not to mention the crushing aspect of losing one’s purpose to build and create.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

The issues with the tools and models affect us daily and repetitively. On top of that it feels like we are getting tricked constantly, claude code or antigravity burning through usage, anthropic not wanting to release mythos because it’s “too dangerous”, models being down. It’s hard to stay positive, because annoyances happen more often than great news. But thank you for the work, i see gemini cli’s improvements weekly!

So much negativity today, I get it we’re used to slow built well made software this isn’t what’s happen now, nor what we want anymore. We want it all now. This is a tradeoff You’re all getting magic models please be patient with the tool builders they really are doing their best

I've spent countless hours with Codex Automations, Claude Routines, OpenClaw, and more They're probably best described as "unreliable magic machines" for the time being. IMO building software with the new agentic coding tools for the same tasks is vastly more reliable.

@alexwtlf I’m not building stuff that can be built in 24 hours, at least not with today’s AI

Some news to share: After serving as CEO the past couple years, I’m moving into the role of Chairman of the Board, and @mfigge will become Yuga’s next CEO. Figge is the absolute best person for the job. There’s no one I trust more to lead Yuga through this next chapter. He’s relentless about product quality, he thinks longterm, and he knows how to take a vision and make it real. His work on Otherside the past year is proof of that, and you haven’t seen the half of it. And I’ve loved watching Figge get his hands dirty in the world of BAYC over the last few weeks. The club is better for it. Creative direction, writing, and figuring out insane ideas is still where I do my best work. And with Figge taking over the CEO role, I get to go back to it. I can’t wait for what Yuga builds next.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. It handles long-running tasks with more rigor, follows instructions more precisely, and verifies its own outputs before reporting back. You can hand off your hardest work with less supervision.

@ronsterd89 Beer, because this $10 won't last a month. Might just enjoy beer until you get the kids taken away and you go to jail.

@TomatoBird Yes :(. Have you tried through the API? You pay per request, but 2 years ago it wasn’t censored compared to chatgpt. Not sure how it is today.

This is unusual. Allbirds, $BIRD, is a shoe company. Today, it said it will rebrand to Newbird AI. It will convert its assets to "acquire high-performance GPU assets." It finished up 580% today.
