Still toying with her polearm, the knight nods slowly to her first statement. Being a mute makes one very expressive. To the second point Kardia sets the polearm down and wanders over to her pack. She was starving. Unfortunately Kardia had just ran out of her rations. Damn.

“Well, my culture is not one I believe to make others grovel before me. I’d much rather be friends and allies with others than have subjects.” She smiled beneath her mask as she brushed the dirt from her knees. “A sorceress? Very intriguing.”

She shook her head and immediately grabbed her hands, pulling her up. “Please no, I’m not that kind of stubborn Royal. It’s just a title, I’m as ordinary as any girl you’d meet. Look at me, I’m not very royally dressed.”

She didn’t know Freya was up already. She assumed they’d be asleep for a little while longer. Hopefully Kardia’s armor didn’t wake her up. Mornings are for training, what is the book for?
