@DrJStrategy You must be high. Carnage Carney's whole campaign strategy was dumping on America and bringing out the worst in Canadians. Now he's sucking up to Trump and you praise him. People like you are the reason Canada is such a mess. #MapleMAGA

For the record. Mark Carney’s address to the Economic Club of New York was a disciplined, strategically framed intervention that should resonate with business leaders on both sides of the border. In tone and content, it was exactly the kind of message markets look for from a G7 head of government: pro‑growth, geopolitically literate, and grounded in concrete avenues for investment and partnership. Carney’s central assertion – that a strong Canada can “help make America great again” – recasts the Canada–U.S. relationship in explicitly pragmatic terms. Rather than positioning Canada as a counterweight to U.S. economic nationalism, he presented it as a force multiplier for the United States’ own strategic objectives in energy security, supply chains, AI infrastructure, and re‑industrialization. That framing is shrewd. It acknowledges the realities of a more assertive U.S. trade and industrial policy while offering a collaborative model that can lower costs, reduce risk, and accelerate execution for American firms and investors. The speech was also notable for its business‑ready specificity. By highlighting Canada’s role as a reliable provider of energy, critical minerals, food, advanced manufacturing, and clean power, Carney translated geopolitical themes into investable opportunities. His emphasis on rule‑of‑law institutions, regulatory predictability, and a growing network of trade and investment partnerships positioned Canada as an attractive platform for capital seeking both exposure to North American growth and insulation from global volatility. Equally important was the tone: confident but not complacent, aligned with U.S. strategic priorities without being deferential. Carney managed to speak fluently to Trump’s “America First” agenda while articulating Canada’s own interests with clarity and self‑respect. For corporate leaders, financiers, and policymakers, the result was a reassuring message: Ottawa understands the new landscape, is prepared to work within it, and is focused on building a North American framework that can support durable growth, competitiveness, and security over the coming decade.

Clown show. 🤡 One nutty separatist leader (Rath) says that I’m a Canadian patriot because I want to draft young Albertans “to die in the Ukraine war.” Another nutty separatist leader (Sylvester) says that his Republic of Alberta would actually impose a military draft on young Albertans. To fight in what war? 🧐 Albertans thinking of voting for separation to “send a message” or “get a new deal:” this is the kind of whackiness you would be enabling.

Imagine you or I filming ourselves wrecklessly shooting off a semi automatic .30 calibre SKS into the air on public land, let alone doing so with a legally prohibited unpinned magazine. A heavily armed ETF unit would be on your doorstep in a heartbeat. And what is the Police vest for? Even if caught, what are the odds that these guys will be out on bail in minutes, followed by a slap on the wrist from a Liberal Judge to prevent them from being deported? Canada is not a serious country.

@erinotoole Why would you praise this speech when all Carney has been doing this past year is dumping on America. Getting Canadians all worked up about our neighbors. Ridiculous.

This was a very good speech. It echoed key themes and sectors we tried to make part of trade dialogue with the US in the first Trump term. American economic prosperity and homeland security is stronger with a continued partnership with Canada. 🇨🇦 🇺🇸

@Mobilized3213 @MRwhitenorth @bruce_barrett Because Canada is a lost nation. Our federal government doesn't care about real Canadians. Our federal government answers to globalists. Not it's citizens. Non citizens should never be allowed to obtain PAL's. Newcomers don't belong in government, military or police forces.

Yep. I live on a dead end rural road in New Brunswick. I am a retired Mountie. There are is another one who lives at the end of the road, a serving member who just built a new home at the start of the road and there is a Corrections guard between us. Long story short. 'New Canadians (not citizens) driving a white Elantra. 4 of them. Every night they are in the choppings at the end of the road shooting off their guns. 500 yards from the last house. Limit is 400 yards. Neighbours went to see them. Apparently the Game Wardens brought them here and told them they can shoot here. Neighbours got pissed off. Called the Mounties and the Warden. 2 Mounties and 2 Wardens showed up. What did they do, you ask. They charged one of the neighbours with driving his ATV with no helmet. Those Indians are not Canadian Citizens. How the fuck did they get Firearms Possession Permits and where did they get the firearms?!

@CoryBMorgan If these idiots keep pushing this we may end up with Comrad Nenshi as our Premier. No matter what Smith did she was going to take flack. But she is still the only leader talking about giving the people a choice. @ABDanielleSmith has my full support.

There are plenty of reasons to be upset with Danielle Smith right now. Responding by trying to organize constituencies to force an August AGM to tear her out of the leadership is the dumbest fucking initiative of 2026 though.

@trevortombe Hard to lead when the federal government handcuffs our industry. Hard to lead when our federal government imports millions of voters that want handouts and will keep the hand that feeds in power. Canada is a uniparty now. It won't change.

This movement needs strong leadership, clear direction, and people who can explain the process without turning Albertans against each other. @BenMulroney Since Carney has the support of 2/3rds of Canadians, I highly doubt 14 eco-warriors will bother him. As for maintaining control over caucus, why were you silent on the 4 MP's that crossed from the Conservatives to the Liberals? That is a much bigger issue when it comes to caucus.
