Still Running Free ♥️
At the beach, beneath the open sky
And by the green mountains standing high
Small children run with laughter bright
Hand in hand, pure joy in sight
I watch them race through sand and grass
And see my younger self as they pass
Walking with purpose, wild and free
That little girl still lives in me
Running everywhere, without a care
Chasing dreams upon the air
A little mischievous, full of delight
Turning every day into an adventure bright
Her dress is stained from games and play
But that never mattered anyway
Her hair was combed with loving care
Yet soon the wind danced through it there
Among that happy, carefree band
One little girl holds out her hand
I smile and whisper silently
"I think that little girl is me"
Though years have passed and seasons flown
The child within has never gone
She still runs barefoot through my heart
A treasured soul, never apart 🌹

Cozy Cottage Bread Bowl Stew 🍲🍲
"Slow-cooked goodness in every bite"
Serves: 6
Ingredients
For the Stew:
2 lbs beef chuck, cut into bite-sized cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 carrots, sliced
2 celery stalks, chopped
3 medium potatoes, cubed
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
4 cups beef broth
1 cup red wine (optional)
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 bay leaf
2 tbsp flour
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Bread Bowls:
6 round sourdough bread loaves
2 tbsp melted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1) Brown the Beef:
Season beef with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown beef on all sides and remove.
2) Build the Stew:
Add onions, carrots, celery, and mushrooms. Cook 5 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and tomato paste.
Sprinkle flour over vegetables and stir well.
3) Simmer:
Pour in wine (if using) and scrape up browned bits from the bottom.
Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, potatoes, and browned beef.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2½–3 hours until beef is fall-apart tender.
4) Prepare Bread Bowls:
Cut tops off bread loaves and hollow out centers.
Mix melted butter and garlic. Brush inside the bowls.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes until lightly toasted.
5) Serve:
Remove bay leaf. Ladle hot stew into bread bowls.
Garnish with parsley and serve immediately with the bread tops on the side for dipping.
Note
For extra cottage-style comfort, top each bowl with a sprinkle of sharp cheddar cheese and place under the broiler for 2 minutes before serving. 😋
