@SpotAthlete For the M this season, I was expecting to see more of Pishon Haughton, Callum Robinson, Mike Roth, Jalon White & A Cole. Have not seen anything from Misener-Daley or Ayorinde in last couple yrs… retired?

@ashrafcan The women side is mainly U20: Hailee Woodhouse (200/400m), Chloe Symon (400/800m), Alexia Latore (200/400m), and Anieu Chan (U18 400/800m). The only U23 athlete I have is Grace Igbiki but she is a 100/200m runner moving up to the 400m. So we will see

Athletics Canada will be at the LSU Battle on the Bayou for relay practice and preparation. They will contest in the men & women 4x100m and 4x400m Some of these athletes will also run their individual events Result link live.deltatiming.com/meets/66039/ev…

@SpotAthlete Besides CMW and Tyler Floyd for the men and Gale, Proctor, Konrad and Sherar for women, who else should fans look out for in the 400m this season?

@ashrafcan On the men's side, it really hasn't been there. The pointer to if they can come up with sth by LA28 will be known after the Worlds U20. After all, CMW first won bronze in 2022 Worlds U20 4x400m, then 🥈2023 panam U20 400m before Olympics So, this U20 Champs will give insights

@SpotAthlete Hmmm I didn’t realize that the women's team was having issues as well. Assumed that we had a lot of U-23 athletes coming down the pipe on their side. Is AC putting focus on the mixed 4x400 instead perhaps?

@ashrafcan Aiyanna Stiverne has announced her retirement & Kyra Constantine has been MIA, maybe injuries. The lapse showed at Tokyo when they didn't qualify. Savannah Sutherland is not meant to run the heat of a 4x400m since without injuries, she is likely going to make 400mH finals.

@SpotAthlete That’s disappointing - I don’t understand the lack of focus on the male team. We have increased depth in the 400m, but won’t be able to qualify for anything if the relay team athletes are not given the chance to compete. It’s been like this for years and it’s very strange.

@ashrafcan Oh❗️I don't know the answer to the question. The only thing I know is that they do train at LSU and Florida before World Relays. No athletes started their individual 400m, too. But what that means is they won't contest the 4x400m at World Relays

@MarkJCarney @TeamCanada That’s really nice of you to say, but we would have done much better if y’all actually funded our athletes. Sport is important to a healthy society. You need to do better by these folks and us all.

@BenSteiner00 If the government doesn’t do something immediately, summer sports results could also start taking a nose dive as well after LA 2028. This should not be acceptable.

Canada ends Milan Cortina 2026 with 21 medals, including five gold. Canada's lowest Winter Games total since Salt Lake City 2002 when it won 17 medals. Lots to takeaway from these Games when it comes to Canada's sporting system.

@marleydickinson All of the events should be like it is in the women’s monobob - all the same type of sleds to make it an even playing field. Seeing one country dominate because they have better financial resources doesn’t seem fair, it should come down to to athletic ability IMO
