Today is my last day at the @chaskaherald with Southwest News Media. It’s bittersweet to leave, but I’m excited for wherever my career takes me next! So, in typical journalist fashion, here’s a thread of my favorite stories/photos from the past 16 months…

A beautiful day for my first solo flight! I’ve been working toward my Private Pilot License over the past few months and today was a huge milestone in my training! It’s been a very rewarding experience so far and I’m excited to see where flying takes me (literally) ✈️

The paper has been so significant to this community for so long. What a loss :(

Really sad to hear that the @chaskaherald, the paper where I got my start as a journalist, is ceasing operation at the end of April :( 6 communities will be impacted by this closure, leaving the southwest metro without any sort of local news source. swnewsmedia.com/shakopee_valle…
